As a distinguished Cardiologist, Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Mesubi is at the forefront of diagnosing and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias and advancing patient care for those with inherited cardiac arrhythmic disorders.
Dr. Mesubi earned his medical degree (MD/MBBS) from the University of Ilorin College of Health Sciences in Nigeria. He completed his combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University (MetroHealth Medical Center) in 2010, where he stayed on for a year as Chief Fellow. He then followed with fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease which he started at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2012 and completed with Cardiovascular Disease post-doctoral research fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2017. Pursuing his passion for cardiac electrophysiology, he completed an advanced fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2019. Further enhancing his academic and clinical expertise, Dr. Mesubi earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2004.
Specializing in cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Mesubi focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex arrhythmias, including inherited cardiac arrhythmic disorders such as Long QT syndrome and Brugada syndrome. He is highly skilled in complex cardiac ablation procedures, as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, providing life-saving interventions for patients with severe heart rhythm disorders. A dedicated member of the American Heart Association and Heart Rhythm Society, Dr. Mesubi exemplifies excellence in both clinical practice and academic medicine, continually advancing the field through patient care, research, and education.
